Only for the merit of our Lord

From the Anglican Articles of Religion (A.D. 1549):

XI. Of the Justification of Man.

We are accounted righteous before God, only for the merit of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ by Faith, and not for our own works or deservings. Wherefore, that we are justified by Faith only, is a most wholesome Doctrine, and very full of comfort, as more largely is expressed in the Homily of Justification.

For the rest of his excellent and encouraging reflection on justification by faith go to Fr. Timothy Fountain's Blog: Northern Plains Anglicans.

Thanks S.P., sorry I'm bad at replying to you lately and yes I'm extremely busy. Two and a half more weeks and I'm done with my third year of med school though! Hope you have a good week also!
